Cultivation Through Artifacts

Chapter 390 - Dungeon Core; Power Blessing!

[\'Dungeon Core: Power Blessing\' detected in surroundings!]

[Do you wish to use Boosted Magnetism to acquire the core?]

\'What?\' Khal immediately became stupified and his gaze toward the floating orb changed completely.

\'Is that orb a... A Power Core?\'

[That is not entirely true]

Suddenly Nova\'s voice appeared in Khal\'s head, explaining and clearing the doubts in Khal\'s heart.

[Power Cores are the cores of artifacts, allowing you to obtain different powers by destroying the artifact itself.]

[The same goes for Ember Cores and Beast Cores. You need to destroy the vessel before you can gain access over the cores inside them.]

[However, Dungeon Cores are different in this matter as they can be not only acquired without breaking any vessel, but if you do obtain one you can gain access over the dungeon itself!]

As Khal listened to Nova\'s explanation he finally seemed to understand what a Dungeon Core was but at the same time seemed to feel confused.

\'How come you know so many things about cores?\'

[I... Don\'t know... Things are just flooding my mind on their own before I say them...]

Khal became silent as he felt something was not quite right with what Nova said.

If he was right and understood it clearly from the past conversation with Nova, the bracelet on him was a very powerful item that under some special circumstances sealed Nova away before it was taken down to the First Realm.

However, if that really was the case and Nova was indeed a separate being as she has said it previously, why was that whenever something happened it was her who talked and mother another voice?

For instance, why was that whenever he broke into the next Stage and his Power Cores were strengthened further the one who notified him was her and not someone ore something else?

After all, if she was a being inside the bracelet, the one talking to him whenever he acquired a new core or simply increased his Cultivation Base should be the bracelet and not her, right?

It didn\'t make any sense at all!

Khal began to ponder silently but the more he thought about it the more questions appeared in his head and the more confused he became, he just sighed and put the matter aside for the time being.

\'I am pretty sure I will be able to find the answer for it sooner or later.\'

With that in mind, Khal quickly bent his legs and with a powerful bang leaped high into the air, traveling hundreds of meters in an instant!

Senior Lin, Astro, and Darla became stupified upon seeing just how ridiculously strong Khal\'s physical fitness was and how high he had jumped in just a matter of a few seconds.

Of course, although Khal\'s physical strength was outstanding and just alone almost as strong as those at the Ascender Stage, the real reason why he was able to jump so high was because of his ridiculous amount of Body Essence.

While normal beings only had a few thousand units of Body Essence until then he had close to two hundred thousand units in his body, something that only beasts and creatures existing in the Third Realm possessed!

Thus, with such a huge amount of Body Essence flowing and strengthening his legs, it was by no means a huge surprise he was able to jump a few hundred meters high with a single leap!

Khal dashed through the air with great momentum and only when he reached the level of the floating orb did he finally slow down before halting completely in mid-air.

Whoosh!

With a smooth and quick move, Khal grabbed the core while also allowing Nova to increase a slot on his bracelet to let the core fit inside.

Swish!

With a gentle blue light, the color quickly melted inside Khal\'s hand before appearing inside the newly opened slot on his bracelet, increasing the number of his collected cores by one!

[\'Dungeon Core: Power Blessing\' has been successfully collected!]

Whoosh!

A warm sensation swept through Khal\'s body and mind together with numerous information about the core while a strange and seemingly invisible connection appeared between him and the dungeon.

The feeling was akin to growing another limb, one that although invisible, he could freely control with his mind!

Bam!

Deep cracks and long fissures appeared on the ground once Khal landed, but despite it seeming to hurt his legs, Khal simply acted as if nothing happened and looked at the three in front of him with a nonchalant look.

"It seems there is nothing else here. We should head back."

Upon hearing Khal\'s words the three looked at each other with confusion but although they wished to say something, knowing Khal\'s prowess they decided not to.

Thus, without gaining any knowledge or extra benefits by reaching the final floor, the three began to walk toward the exit where they just come from.

"Where are you guys going? The exit is right here."

Just as the three were about to descend onto the ninth floor, suddenly Khal\'s voice appeared in their ears which halted their steps while a small white portal materialized on the side seemingly nowhere.

"Huh? When?" the three stared with widened eyes at the white portal and watched as Khal walked toward it as if he knew exactly what it was.

"Come on, this way is faster." Khal gestured toward the three without looking back and with a casual but long stride stepped through the portal.

Senior Lin, Darla, and Astro first were skeptical whether they should follow Khal or not, but as they knew without him they stood no chance against a creature if one suddenly appeared they had no choice but quickly follow him.
